An interdisciplinary George Mason University research team is breaking new ground in using artificial intelligence to develop a mobile app to accurately capture and document bruises of victims of interpersonal violence.

George Mason University scientists, nurses, and researchers in the College of Public Health have just entered the second cycle of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) program called Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO).

Funding from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) will create the School Nurse Leadership Academy, a first-of –its-kind program dedicated to fostering leadership in school nursing.
